Humility


The word Humility derives from the Latin noun Humilitas: humble; and also lowly, earthen, from the earth. Related to the adjective Humus.

Humus: the word itself is ripe and overly humid. Humus conjures images of a prehistoric marshland: moss, bog; and perhaps additionally: placenta. The very essence of genesis.

Humility is a reduction of the self into a marrow of being. Humility offers a means by which to proceed toward Agute Empacil, New Life.
